UNCOVERED SOUNDS: John Murphy - In the House, In a Heartbeat

For those of you who haven't had the opportunity to see Danny Boyle's epic post-apocalyptic horror film, 28 Days Later, I advise you to watch it as soon as possible. 28 Days Later gives a realistic approach as to what could happen if a zombie-virus outbreak were to occur in the UK. I found this to be one of the only films that gives a real representation of how people would react in such a situation, in turn making me give this film a 10/10.

Although this film is a classic, the beauty in the imagery would be nothing without its original musical score courtesy of John Murphy. The visuals and music unlock the senses and transport you to where they are, taking you with them along their journey, making watching the film an experience in itself.

It was hard to define the perfect song from the soundtrack to describe this film in sound, but in the end, it had to be the most recognisable song. It captures the whole mood of the film alongside the predicted feeling of emptiness in a world after an apocalypse.

So, here it is:

The film and it's score are true masterpieces and must be seen and heard.
