I first heard this classic song when it was featured in the film 'Monsters VS Aliens'. The song is from 1947 yet it sounds very modern for it's time. It could even pass for a new release in 2014 (except the recording quality).
It's style is very folk-esque, due to it's lyrics, as well as being Hillbilly Country/Bluegrass. The lyrics in the song are about the possibility of being invaded by people from outer space, giving off a hilarious tongue-and-cheek vibe. It kept spirits up whilst the country and World were recovering from the aftermath of World War II.
